Joyce Be Lynda
Russaw- Executive Director & CEO
Joyce,
a graduate of Clark Atlanta University spent 30 years in Human Resource
Management at General Motors Corporation. She is certified in Needs
Analysis, Design, Develop and presentation of training seminars, a
certified T-3 Train the Trainer, certified in presenting Franklin Covey
Time Systems and Zenger-Miller Frontline Leadership programs. In the
HR arena Joyce traveled extensively recruiting Engineering students and
new hires as a certified on campus college recruiter working closely
with varied colleges such as University of Albuquerque, Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, MIT, Atlanta University Center, Northwestern and
Georgia Institute of Technology while providing HR support to open new
Dealerships across the country.
Having
completed over 5,000 training hours from Cardin, and General Motors
University and over 7,000 required training hours at Saturn University,
she also completed MBA focused course work at Michigan State University
in East Lansing, Michigan.
An active member of the DNC she serves on several US Congressional
Committees, a Committee Member of The Explorers of the National Boy
Scouts, Dallas, Texas. After retiring from General Motors she worked as
liaison to the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, worked on the Advance
Team for Senators John Kerry and John Edwards during his bid for the
Presidency, and worked tirelessly on the Obama team for the now
President of the United States.
Joyce worked as a political strategist on
Lead teams for two
U.S. Presidents and two U. S. Senators.
Currently she is a member of
Alpha Kappa Alpha,
the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, an Honorary Tuskegee Airman, Founder
and Leader of Professionals Striving to make a difference, and a member
of Flipper A.M.E.
Ernest Caldwell Browne, Jr.
Joyce
was mentored by her husband Ernest Browne, Jr. Ernest delighted in
being A Tuskegee Airman. He graduated from Wayne State and
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Executive Program. A public
servant, Ernest was a member of the Masonic Brotherhood and attained
the highest level, a member of the League of Cities, Whitney Young
scholarship selection committee, a Scout Master sitting on several
scouting Committees, President of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce and
served two terms as a City Councilman. He ended his political career
after an unsuccessful run for Mayor of Detroit.
Ernest went on to serve as
Vice President of Michigan National Banks, which enabled him to serve
on many corporate Boards including Trustee at Sparrow Hospital, Credit
Unions of Michigan. Ernest and Joyce both served as members of the
Brentwood Historical Society in Brentwood, Tennessee.
